About The Cottage
Cottage rental includes
The Cottage is a comfortable one-bedroom character property set in the centre of Branscombe. Pet friendly and benefiting from a cosy wood burning stove, it's conveniently positioned near the beach and opposite the Masons Arms, a popular pub serving excellent food throughout the day. The pretty village of Branscombe is found on the south coast of Devon and is one of the most relaxing and picturesque villages in the region. To the east is the fishing village of Beer. Those who enjoy walking can follow the South West Coast Path from Branscombe to Beer, and enjoy panoramic views of the coastline and countryside along the way. Beer itself has won several accolades including being named Countryfiles Top Picnic Spot. Slightly further to the west is Sidmouth. The pebble beach at Branscombe is part of the famous UNESCO Jurassic Coast, and stretches over a mile. The beach offers beautiful views of the Jurassic cliffs on either side of the valley, and is a popular starting point for walks on the coast path. You will also find The Sea Shanty Beach Cafe close to the beach, a perfect for a spot of lunch. The village has a number of historic buildings, including the Old Bakery and Forge, both National Trust properties. Inside the Old Bakery, you will find yourself surrounded by history, while the thatched forge is thought to be the oldest working of its kind in England. Branscombe has walks that cater for all abilities, immediately from the front door, with beautiful historical strolls or cliff-top hikes and views out to sea.
